About Kem Hoops Sport Academy
The indoor Sports Facility is situated on the Main Eastbound Thorofare in Cornelius, Oregon. Kem Hoops is owned and managed by Samedy Kem, a long-time construction business owner in Aloha, OR, who also has 30+ years of experience in basketball coaching. He has coached boys & girls at all levels, along with extensive experience running and managing both youth and high school level basketball camps and tournaments. The facility offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere for youth and teens in the Metro area, designed for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and any other sport that can be played indoors.

Meet the Owner
Coach Samedy Kem
Coach Kem grew up in the Aloha area and played soccer and basketball until high school, then switched soccer for football — but always followed his love for basketball all the way through high school. He went out of state for college and returned in 1992 with the goal of giving back to his childhood stomping grounds, coaching his first traveling team made of local kids from his neighborhood. As he raised his own kids, he coached and mentored them in competitive boys' and girls' youth programs, in addition to securing coaching positions at Aloha High School (Boys Basketball) and Hillsboro High School (Girls Basketball). Over the last 30 years he has coached numerous teams at every level — Youth Competitive, AAU traveling teams, Freshman, JV and Varsity Assistant Coach — building a reputation as a patient, dedicated mentor on and off the court.
