Coach Kem grew up in the Aloha area and played Soccer and Basketball until high school and then changed things up a bit and switched Soccer for Football, but has always followed his love for Basketball, all the way thru high school.  HE went out of state for college and returned w/ the goal of giving back to his childhood stomping grounds.  It was then that he coached his first traveling team made of the local kids from his neighborhood.  As he had kids, he coached and mentored them in competitive boys’ and girls’ youth programs, in addition to securing coaching positions at Aloha High School in the Boys Basketball Program, and Hillsboro High School in the Girls Basketball Program.  He is a well-respected Basketball coach whose reputation proceeds him.  Over the last 30 years he has coached numerous teams at various levels, including Boys and Girls, Youth Competitive teams, AAU traveling teams, Freshman, JV and Varsity Assistant Coach at the high school level.  His coaching ability, patience on and off the court, and his ability to mentor students over the years, only secure his reputation as an excellent Coach.
